San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition Success: Celebrating Silver
We’re absolutely buzzing with excitement here at RoxyAnn Winery in beautiful Medford, Oregon. And for a good reason! We’re thrilled to share that we’ve snagged not one, not two, but three shiny silver medals at this year’s prestigious San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition! It’s truly an honor to be recognized among so many talented winemakers. And we couldn’t be prouder of our team’s hard work and dedication to producing wines that are receiving love and attention throughout the industry.
The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition holds a special place in the hearts of winemakers across North America. As the largest, most prestigious wine competition on the continent, it attracts thousands of entries from top wineries each year. With its esteemed panel of judges and rigorous blind tasting process, the competition sets the standard for excellence in the industry. Winning a medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition is not only a mark of quality but also a testament to the dedication and craftsmanship of the winemakers behind each bottle. We’re incredibly honored to have been recognized among such esteemed company and look forward to continuing to share our passion for winemaking with wine lovers everywhere!
2022 Viognier
Let’s raise our glasses to our first silver medalist: the 2022 Viognier. This elegant white wine boasts vibrant aromas of ripe peach, honeysuckle, and citrus, leading to a palate bursting with flavors of apricot, pear, and a hint of spice. With its crisp acidity and luxurious mouthfeel, our Viognier is the perfect companion for a sunny afternoon on the patio or a cozy evening at home with friends.
2021 Chardonnay
Next up, we have our 2021 Chardonnay, another deserving recipient of a silver medal. This Chardonnay showcases the best of Southern Oregon’s terroir, with notes of green apple, lemon zest, and toasted oak. It’s rich and creamy on the palate, with a refreshing acidity that keeps you coming back for more. Whether you’re a Chardonnay aficionado or new to the varietal, this wine is sure to impress.
2019 Claret
Lastly, we’re celebrating our 2019 Claret, which also brought home a silver medal. Our Claret is a classic Bordeaux-style blend, crafted from a harmonious combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. This wine offers aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and a touch of vanilla, leading to a palate of ripe fruit, supple tannins, and a long, lingering finish. It’s a versatile wine that pairs beautifully with everything from grilled steak to hearty pasta dishes.
