RoxyAnn Winery Celebrates its 20th Anniversary
With over 70 acres of grapes thriving in the shallow clay soils at the base of Roxy Ann Peak in Medford, Oregon, we continue the tradition of preserving our family-owned vineyard and winery for 20 years.
“We fully believe in the philosophy that great wine starts with the quality of care. That’s why we take an uncompromising approach to nurture our staff, our vineyard, and our facility, where RoxyAnn grapes become our beloved RoxyAnn wines.” Chad Day – 4th Generation Owner
RoxyAnn Winery has strategically paired effective, sustainable farming practices with state-of-the-art production facilities to yield the best fruit and, ultimately, superior wines. We hope that it’s not only the quality of wine that set us apart but also our unwavering commitment to family and community, a vision our dad, Jack Day, started in 2001.
Seeing the potential of grape growing on the historic Hillcrest Orchard Estate with its perfect sloping hills, clay soils, and spectacular southern sunshine; armed with the vision of an artisan farmer and a Harvard MBA, Jack Day guided planting the original 20 acres on the Southwest slopes of Roxy Ann Peak. The first harvest produced a proprietary red “Claret” blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, proving the distinct southern Oregon climate’s rich soils and southern sunshine was perfect for
growing grapes, just as dad had imagined. Rooted in pride for a family legacy, Our dad’s passion was to create a place where people could experience great wine and the neighborhood he adored and thus began RoxyAnn Winery’s history.
“Our dad (Jack Day) had a passion for business, family, and community – and he brought that altogether through RoxyAnn Winery. He loved coming into the tasting room to chat and connect with our neighbors, our customers.” Crissie Olson – 4th Generation Owner
While Jack is not here today, losing his long battle to heart disease in 2020, his children Chad Day and Crissie Olson helm the winery. Maintaining Jack’s original vision, the next generation is not forgetting RoxyAnn Winery’s rich past but looking forward as they continue to invest in their “amazing community” of East Medford and the Rogue Valley, just as Jack Day imagined.
“He was incredibly proud of what he created, and so are we as we pass along his vision to our kids and the future generations of our community.” Chad Day – 4th Generation Owner
As part of the 20th Anniversary, RoxyAnn Winery will release “The Jack,” a blend of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc features bright red fruit and youthful tannins leading to a
rich lingering finish.
Join them as they hope to celebrate in-person (this October) as the family honors their generations of family, community, and quality wines in Medford, Oregon, for years to come.
