Family Night at RoxyAnn Winery was launched in 2021 with the vision of creating a weekly event where families could gather, relax, and enjoy quality time together. The brainchild of Chad Day and Crissie Olson, the winery’s owners, this event was born from their own experiences as parents. Chad and Crissie, who have young families of their own, understand the importance of creating spaces where parents and their kids can connect and have fun in a safe, welcoming environment. Their personal dedication to family values is reflected in every aspect of Family Night, making it an event that truly resonates with the attendees.
Each year, Family Night has grown, evolving from a modest gathering into a vibrant community celebration of almost one hundred families attending every Tuesday! The event has expanded its offerings, drawing an increasing number of local vendors and participants. This growth is a testament to the event’s popularity and the strong community ties in Medford. Local businesses and artists eagerly join in, contributing their talents and products to enhance the Family Night experience.
2024 Lineup: A Celebration of Local Talent and Fun
Looking ahead to the 2024 season, Family Night at RoxyAnn Winery is gearing up to be the most exciting yet. This year’s event will feature an incredible lineup of activities and entertainment, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Culinary Delights and Local Flavors
Food lovers will be thrilled by the variety of local food trucks offering delicious fare, including Pizza Mia, The Melt, Blaze-N-Monkeys, and Taquitos Locos! Whether you’re craving gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, artisanal wood-fired pizzas, tacos, or delectable desserts, there’s a rotation of food trucks on the calendar that will provide a little something for everyone throughout the summer! These culinary delights are perfect nibbles for kids and make excellent companions to RoxyAnn’s celebrated wines.
Entertainment for All Ages
Fun and connection are at the heart of Family Night, and 2024 promises an array of engaging performances and activities. Local artists like Jen-U-Win the Unicorn will enchant children and adults with their whimsical presence. And the musical talents of Connor Reese provides kids with dance-worthy and sing-along songs that your family will know and love!
We will even have kids karaoke and bingo nights on the hottest calendar days, so we can beat the heat safely with our young ones.
For those interested in arts and crafts, Hibiscus Henna tattoos offer a beautiful and temporary way to express creativity. The Plant-Your-Own-Sunflower experience from Urban Uprise Farm allows children and adults to get their hands dirty, learn about gardening, and take home a sunflower plant as a memento of their fun-filled evening.
Creative and Interactive Booths
This year we will also be joined by Driftwood Leather Co.! They will be bringing their custom hat building booth to Family Night for a couple of Tuesdays during the summer. With a wide variety of colors, styles and sizes, parents and kids alike can take home a unique, custom hat they designed themselves.
In addition to that, we will be welcoming Chiquitos Soft Play. A unique Southern Oregon company that provides soft play equipment for kids aged six and under. Their obstacle course and soft play equipment provides a safe and fun environment! This ensures that even the youngest family members have a memorable time.
Rogue Valley Food System Network is also an awesome addition to our festivities. They will be hosting a booth with family-friendly activities, emphasizing the importance of local food systems and healthy eating habits.
Tuesday evenings at RoxyAnn are going to be filled with bubbles floating through the air, inflatable bounce houses and water slides, yard games, lots of laughter, music, hayrides through the scenic vineyard, and snacks & ice cream to keep everyone refreshed. There will be food, games, drinks, family-friendly activities, and good, safe fun for all ages.
