Drink Rosé in Southern Oregon

RoxyAnn Winery is the best place to drink Rosé in Southern Oregon! Rosé wine gets the distinctive pink color because it is actually made from red wine grapes. Although it is made using red grapes, it is fermented like a white wine. There is just a short period of juice to skin contact to extract the beautiful rose color and then the grape juice is immediately separated from the grape skins so that fermentation can begin. Rosé can be dry or sweet; the color is not an indicator of sweetness. It is usually best enjoyed young and fresh, typically within one to two years of its release. 

Rosé can be made from a wide variety of red grapes, such as Grenache, Zinfandel, Syrah, and Pinot Noir. RoxyAnn Winery makes it’s Rosé from Pinot Noir grapes. Our current vintage has tasting notes that describe it as crisp and refreshing. Our off-dry Rosé exhibits delicate aromas of candied cherries, guava, and raspberries, and is thoughtfully balanced.

Although many people think of drinking chilled Rosé in Southern Oregon when the weather is hot, we think it can be enjoyed year round! Rosé wine typically pairs well with foods like sushi, grilled seafood and veggies and can also balance spicy foods nicely. But it can additionally be a great pairing for white meat like turkey. So stock up on Rosé for your Thanksgiving table as well!
